TotalBoat Dewaxer & Surface Prep removes mold-release wax, dirt, grease, and oil from fiberglass, gelcoat, wood, bronze, aluminum, and stainless steel prior to priming and painting. It also removes paint from tools and equipment (before it dries).

Surface Preparation Solvent Wipe
TotalBoat Dewaxer & Surface Prep is the ideal surface preparation solvent wipe to use prior to applying the compatible TotalBoat paints, primers, and varnish.
- Only use this product as a solvent wipe when the substrate is compatible or cured sufficiently to be in contact with this product.
- Only use clean, lint-free cotton rags for solvent wipe applications.
- Dampen a rag with Dewaxer & Surface Prep and wipe the area thoroughly.
- Work a small area (1’x1’ or 2’x2’) at a time.
- Before the solvent evaporates, wipe with a clean, dry cotton rag.
- Change out rags frequently.
- If necessary, repeat until all surface contamination has been removed.
Tool and Equipment Cleanup
TotalBoat Dewaxer & Surface Prep works as a product cleaner or tool/equipment cleaner when used with any solvent-based TotalBoat products.
