TotalBoat Epoxy Primer Thinner 200

Product Description

TotalBoat Epoxy Primer Thinner 200 is a solvent formulated to extend and improve the flow of TotalBoat TotalProtect epoxy barrier coat and primer, TotalBoat Aluminum Boat Barrier Coat, and TotalBoat 2-Part Epoxy Primer systems. Ideal for brush, roller, or spray applications. Epoxy Primer Thinner 200 may also be used to clean painting tools and equipment after application. It is also designed as a solvent wipe prior to applying TotalBoat Inflatable Boat Paint.

Thinning Epoxy Primers

IMPORTANT: All epoxy-based products for which this product is designed to be a thinner or reducer must go through an induction period prior to adding this product. The induction period is specified on the epoxy-based product, and varies from product to product.

  • For most products, the maximum amount of Epoxy Primer Thinner 200 that can be added is 10%. Do not add more than 10% unless a product's instructions specify.
  • Directly before applying product, add TotalBoat Epoxy Primer Thinner 200 to product slowly and carefully to avoid spillage. Mix into product thoroughly until desired viscosity is reached.

Surface Prep Solvent Wipe for Inflatable Boats

TotalBoat Epoxy Primer Thinner 200 is a great solvent wipe for rubberized inflatable materials prior to applying TotalBoat Inflatable Boat Paint for antifouling protection.

  • Dampen a clean, lint-free cotton rag with Epoxy Primer Thinner 200 and thoroughly wipe the surface that is to be painted. Follow this step immediately by wiping with a dry, clean, lint-free cotton rag.
  • Apply TotalBoat Inflatable Boat Paint, as directed.

Warnings

RAGS, STEEL WOOL, OR WASTE SOAKED WITH THIS PRODUCT MAY SPONTANEOUSLY CATCH FIRE IF DISCARDED IMPROPERLY. IMMEDIATELY AFTER USE, PLACE RAGS, STEEL WOOL, OR WASTE IN A SEALED, WATER-FILLED METAL CONTAINER.

TotalBoat Epoxy Primer Thinner 200 is not for use with all TotalBoat products.
