Epoxy is finicky and requires exact resin to hardener ratios in order to cure properly. Temperature is also a critical factor in getting a proper cure. Temperature isn't just about the temperature of the air in your work area - it also applies to the temperature of the surface (substrate) you're applying epoxy to, and the temperature of the epoxy resin and hardener components. Always be sure you're working above the minimum temperature or within the temperature range specified for the TotalBoat epoxy or epoxy adhesive you're using for your project.

If you need to raise the air temperature in your work area, use radiant heaters or adjust the thermostat. To raise the temperature of the resin and hardener, use a heat lamp, warm water bath, or other heat source. To warm the substrate, you can use a heat gun, blow dryer, heat lamp, or portable heater.
