When making an epoxy river in a table, counter, or bar top, a heat gun can help remove air bubbles in the epoxy, and create special effects such as swirls or ocean waves. You can also use a blow dryer or small handheld hair dryer, but it may not work as efficiently has a heat gun. Some people also use a small butane torch or propane torch, but it's critical to keep the torch a few inches above the surface of the epoxy, wave it quickly back and forth, and keep it moving so you don't scorch the surface of the epoxy. For best results, we recommend using a heat gun.
