Mixing the components for TotalBoat Flotation Foam creates a reaction that generates heat, which can soften or melt plastic, if the pour is large and the heat is not dissipated.
When using TotalBoat Flotation Foam for buoyancy in a plastic canoe, it's extremely important that you pour the product in multiple, small batches so you don't melt the plastic.
You can pour another small batch of Flotation Foam as soon as the previous batch has cooled down to the normal application temperature - approximately 75-90°F.
