TotalBoat TotalTint Mixol Universal Pigments Kit is a universal tinting system that can be used with many varnishes, but TotalBoat does not currently recommend any tint as specifically compatible with TotalBoat Gleam Marine Spar Varnish. Adding pigment to varnish can increase opacity and may produce uneven or inconsistent color, so results cannot be guaranteed. If tinting Gleam is attempted, always make a small test sample first and allow it to cure completely to confirm that the appearance meets your expectations.

For a more predictable way to change the color of the wood, consider applying TotalBoat Signature Interior Wood Stain to the wood first, then overcoating it with Gleam once the stain is properly prepared for varnishing.
