It can depend on the stain. For example, once our TotalBoat Signature Interior Wood Stains have fully cured, they can be overcoated with TotalBoat epoxies. However, for TotalBoat Penetrating Epoxy specifically, we typically do not recommend applying it over any other coating because it interferes with the epoxy's main purpose, which is to penetrate into the wood.
