TotalBoat Wood Sealer Varnish Primer is designed to be a rapid-recoat, ready-to-use base coat when applying varnish. Its super-low viscosity allows for deep penetration to seal the grain while imparting a natural, oil-based varnish color tone. Wood Sealer can be used as a finish coat when only sealing the grain is needed, or it can serve as the base layers of varnish before applying a higher-build varnish product. Wood Sealer should be applied to wood in good condition where this particular aesthetic is desired.
TotalBoat Penetrating Epoxy Sealer is designed to stabilize and reinforce dry-rotted or weak wood grain. It can also be used as a preventative measure to prevent water or chemical absorption. It cures to a hard, rubbery consistency that allows for natural expansion and contraction. It does not impart any color or tone to the wood. Once it cures, wash off the amine blush with warm water and mild soap, lightly sand the surface, and apply topcoats as desired. Penetrating Epoxy does not have UV stability and is seldom usable as a finish coat.
