TotalBoat Signature Interior Wood Stain is designed for interior use and is not UV stable on its own. If you would like to use this stain for an exterior project, you will have to overcoat it with a varnish like TotalBoat Halcyon Water-Based Marine Varnish, TotalBoat Gleam Marine Spar Varnish, or TotalBoat Lust Rapid Recoat Marine Spar Varnish. We highly recommend applying 8 coats of varnish and applying maintenance coats yearly to prevent the stain from being exposed to UV if the varnish fades or fails.
