If the epoxy is not firm, scrape away the uncured epoxy. You can also use a solvent such as acetone or denatured alcohol to help clean the area. Next, sand the entire area with 220-grit sandpaper and clean away the residue with acetone or denatured alcohol. Once the surface is dry, apply another layer of epoxy. Be sure to mix the epoxy thoroughly.
