Streaks in TotalBoat Halcyon Water-Based Marine Varnish can be caused by applying the varnish too thin or by overbrushing. Because Halcyon dries very quickly, apply it in a relatively thick, even layer with minimal brushing and allow it to self-level to avoid streaks or brush marks.

Always brush from dry to wet, lifting the brush to blend into the previously applied varnish. Nylon or polyester brushes work well with Halcyon.
