STEP 1 – PREPARE THE SURFACE

Start with clean, dry, bare, unfinished wood.
Dampen a clean, dry rag with acetone and wipe the surface to remove contaminants.
Let the surface dry completely.

STEP 2 – MEASURE AND MIX THE RESIN & HARDENER

• Mix only as much as you can apply in 20 minutes.
• Pour or use the 2:1 pumps to dispense 2 parts resin to 1 part hardener (by volume) into a clean, dry plastic cup.
• Stir for 2 minutes to mix completely.

STEP 3 – THIN THE MIXED EPOXY (OPTIONAL)

• To increase penetration, add acetone or denatured alcohol. Add solvent up to equal the amount of mixed epoxy.
• Stir to mix completely.

STEP 4 – APPLY WITH A BRUSH OR ROLLER

• Apply epoxy immediately after mixing.
• Let it dry till it’s tacky to the touch, and apply a second coat.

STEP 5 – ALLOW TO CURE

• After curing, remove any amine blush by washing the surface with mild soap and warm water. Let it dry completely.
• Cured epoxy can be sanded lightly, then painted or varnished.
• Cured epoxy is 100% waterproof.
