Yes, you can apply TotalBoat Elixir directly to properly prepared TotalBoat TotalProtect primer as long as the primer is fully cured and prepared properly.

After applying TotalProtect, allow it to cure, under normal curing conditions, for at least 5-7 days. To prep the surface for paint, do the following:

• Wash the surface with warm water and a mild soap, such as TotalBoat Boat Soap.
• Use fresh water to rinse the surface completely, and allow to dry.
• Sand the cleaned surface with 220-grit or 320-grit sandpaper until smooth.
• Apply TotalBoat Elixir paint, as indicated on the Pour Pak™ bag.
