Do not apply a marine spar varnish, such as TotalBoat Gleam 2.0, over TotalBoat Danish Teak Sealer because the varnish will not adhere properly. Even if the Danish Teak Sealer has had time to be absorbed into the teak and the surface is dry, we strongly recommend using TotalBoat Teak Cleaner to remove any trace of Teak Sealer and any contaminants or undried oils from the wood. Once cleaned and dried, sand the teak, and solvent wipe to remove sanding residue and contaminants, before applying spar varnish.
