Using denatured alcohol as a surface prep solvent wipe is not recommended because, even though it's safe to use on inflatable boat materials, it won't dull the material chemically to provide adequate adhesion for TotalBoat Inflatable Boat Bottom Paint.

Instead, use TotalBoat Epoxy Primer Thinner 200 as a surface prep solvent wipe, and allow it to dry completely, just before applying our Inflatable Boat Bottom Paint. Thinner 200 will clean, dewax, and dull the surface to improve adhesion for the paint.

IMPORTANT: Do not leave Thinner 200 on any fiberglass or inflatable boat surfaces for an extended time period. To prevent damage, always mask off any areas that will not be painted or wiped down with Thinner 200, and ONLY use this solvent wipe on areas that will be painted. Remove drips immediately if they fall onto areas that are not being painted because the drips will alter the surface texture.
