You can use airless spray systems, compressed air, or HVLP to apply TotalBoat Halcyon varnish.
For airless sprayers, use a .009” - .013” tip.
For compressed air, use a .040” tip; air pressure depends on conditions and setup.
For an HVLP setup, use a 1.4-1.8 mm tip; the pressure should start between 20 and 40 psi.
We recommend thinning Halcyon, but only as much as needed. Thin 5-20% with clean, distilled, or fresh water. Note that the more you thin Halcyon, the less glossy the finish will be when cured.
Wet film thickness should be 4-6 mils per coat. You can apply another coat when the previous coat is dry to the touch.
