TotalBoat Aluminum Boat Topside Paint can be applied to a wide variety of one-part paints; however, it is extremely important to perform a small test sample in an inconspicuous location to ensure compatibility and good adhesion.

Ensure that the previous coating has cured for a minimum of 48 hours under normal application conditions. Clean the surface to remove any dust, dirt, grease, oil, water, or wax. Sand the surface with 220 or 320-grit sandpaper, remove any sanding residue, and wipe the surface clean with a rag dampened with denatured alcohol before applying TotalBoat Aluminum Boat Topside Paint as specified on the label.
