After sanding and before recoating with more TotalBoat Halcyon water-based varnish - wipe the Halcyon surface down with a clean, lint-free rag dampened with fresh, clean water - do not use any type of solvent. You can only use denatured alcohol as a solvent wipe on Halcyon varnish that has cured, under normal curing conditions, for at least 48 hours. Never use oily solvents such as generic paint thinners or minerals spirits as a solvent wipe on TotalBoat Halcyon.
