PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) is sprayed on the surface of gelcoat without wax in order to make the gelcoat cure properly. Once the gelcoat has cured, it doesn't matter when you remove PVA from the surface.
How soon should I remove PVA from gelcoat after the gelcoat has cured?
