While TotalBoat TotalTread non-skid marine deck paint is entirely compatible with TotalBoat TotalFair epoxy fairing compound, it is advisable to first prime with TotalBoat Topside Primer or  TotalBoat TotalProtect epoxy barrier coat primer after sanding the TotalFair smooth. Follow the directions on the selected primer's label, including dry times before sanding and applying the TotalTread.
