Exterior surfaces take a beating from UV exposure and normal wear and tear, so for best results, apply annual maintenance coats of TotalBoat Halcyon to these surfaces.

To apply maintenance coats, clean the Halcyon varnish surface to remove any grease, wax, oil, or other contaminants. Lightly sand or scuff the surface (using 320-grit sandpaper or a Scotch-Brite® pad). Sand or scuff in the direction of the wood grain, just until the surface turns hazy. Remove sanding residue, and apply 2-3 coats of Halcyon, as directed, and allow to cure properly before use.
