You may want to recoat TotalBoat TotalTread after a few years of use and exposure to the elements, in order to improve the texture and color. The grit can wear down over time, especially in areas that see a lot of foot traffic.

To recoat TotalTread on TotalTread, clean & dewax the surface and scuff lightly with 220-grit or 320-grit sandpaper or a maroon Scotch-Brite pad. Naturally, scuffing will knock some of the grit down. Remove scuffing residue and apply at least one, maybe two coats of TotalTread for a more true color and desired grit.
