Yes, you can apply TotalBoat TotalProtect epoxy primer to properly prepared stainless steel, and it will form a strong bond. To prepare the surface, do the following:

• Sandblast to SSPC-SP 6 Commercial blast or grind the surface down to shiny, bare metal.
• Remove all blasting or grinding residue (brush, sweep, vacuum, or use compressed air).
• Wipe the surface clean with a clean, lint-free cotton rag or cheesecloth dampened with TotalBoat Dewaxer & Surface Prep, and follow with a clean, dry cotton rag.
• Apply TotalProtect within 1 hour of metal preparation. For proper adhesion, the metal must be clean and shiny.
